US Army Pacific Welcomes Veterans to Headquarters, Honors Their Service
FORT SHAFTER, Hawaii — U.S. Army Pacific welcomed veterans to its headquarters on November 3, 2026, for a special event recognizing their service, sacrifice, and lasting contributions to the nation.
Gen. Ronald P. Clark, commanding general of U.S. Army Pacific, served as host and keynote speaker. He thanked the veterans in attendance for their service and their continued connection to the Army.
“It is my honor to stand with you as a veteran and recognize the contributions of our veterans here at U.S. Army Pacific headquarters,” Clark said. Col. Richmond “Rick” Luce, commander of U.S. Army Garrison Hawaii, also spoke with veterans about opportunities to work with veteran organizations and the importance of remaining involved in the community.
Clark emphasized the value of veteran service organizations.
“All of our veteran service organizations are about something greater than self,” Clark said. “It is the collective nature of what we do on behalf of the organizations we represent to pull all our teammates into something greater than self.”
Throughout the visit, USARPAC staff engaged with the veterans by sharing conversations, exchanging experiences, and answering questions about the command’s mission and operations across the Indo-Pacific region. These interactions strengthened connections between generations of Soldiers and highlighted the experiences and contributions of those who served before them.
Following the briefings, veterans and Soldiers gathered for a social in the headquarters courtyard, where USARPAC leadership and staff thanked the veterans personally and recognized their shared legacy of service.
USARPAC remains committed to honoring the legacy of those who served. The dedication, leadership, and commitment demonstrated by veterans continue to inspire Soldiers serving today.
